Library Exhibit “Art Class” Curated by Senior

Ella, Portland High School senior, organized a project showcasing the artwork of students and teachers all across Portland Public High Schools, facilitating a fully-curated art show. The exhibit was titled “Art Class”. Words from Ella herself: “This project was extremely important to me personally. This kind of thing is what I plan on for a career. It was important because there were not very many if any other galleries that showcase high school art in Portland. Also because this project is something that can continue for years to come. I came up with this idea along with my internship leader Rachael Harkness who gave me the opportunity.” The artwork of high school faculty and students was on display in the Lewis Gallery in Portland Public Library in the Spring of 2022.
